A simple side dish using fresh green spring asparagus. Trim the asparagus and cook briefly in a pan to infuse garlic.

Grated Parmesan is used to add a cheesy touch to the dish, and the Italian cheese also adds an incredibly unique flavor.

Ingredient notes

  • asparagus – Green asparagus is the best, but you can also use white asparagus.
  • garlic – Fresh garlic chopped.
  • olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper
  • Parmesan cheese – Parmesan cheese is for sale all over the world, but I highly recommend it is Italian Parmigiano-Reggiano, which is basically the only real Parmesan cheese. There is a big difference in flavor between Parmigiano-Reggiano and Parmesan, but Italian Parmigiano-Reggiano is not always easy to obtain. In this case, you can simply use Parmesan.

Serve

This stove asparagus recipe is used as a side dish. We like chicken or beef meals.

A lot of sauces, meat and mushroom-type meals are alongside Parmesan asparagus. Add some mashed potatoes and you can have a complete meal.

Here is my favorite main course meal for this side dish:

storage

Parmesan’s leftover amount can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

But I really don’t recommend it because the vegetables get likable and lose freshness when reheated.

Pan American asparagus tastes best when cooked and served directly from the pan.
